MOIT presents the Abilities Hackathon, a collaborative effort to enable the Baltimore community to solve and address problems that those with disabilities face.

April 22nd: 5pm - Midnight

  • Kickoff and Presentations
  • Team Formation

  • Hacking all day

April 23rd: 9am - Midnight

  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Dinner
  • Hacking all day

April 24th: 9am - 8pm

  • Breakfast until 10pm
  • 1pm - Projects Due
  • 1:20-2pm - Lunch
  • 2-3:30 Project Presentations - Judging
  • 3:30-4:10pm - Snacks + Judge Deliberation 
  • 4:15-4:30pm - Winner Announcement + Closing

Eligibility

  1. Each participant may compete individually or as part of one team, but not both, and not on multiple teams/projects.
  2. Volunteers are eligible for prizes as long as they are not working with the judges. This includes defining judging rules, criteria, selection, and concierge services.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Projects are only eligible to submit their projects to win in one of the following categories:
    • Hardware/Software
    • Transportation/Mobility
    • Wearables
    • Leisure/Entertainment
  2. Please list all team members that contributed to your project on your presentation in the “Team Members” slide, even if they did not officially sign up for the hackathon. Judges must be aware of all team members that contributed to the project. 
  3. Include one of the following with your submission

    • Pictures
    • Videos
    • Screenshots
